Seoul National University Hosted the 1st Doctoral Student Conference
Enhancing Competence of Doctoral Students
The first doctoral student conference of the Higher Education Research Association (HERA) for the year 2025 was held from January 15th to 16th at Seoul National University’s Hoam Faculty House. The conference, organized by the Center of Higher Education and Knowledge Studies (CHEKs) at Seoul National University, had the theme “Enhancing Competence of Doctoral Students: Networking under HERA initiatives” and was conducted in in-person only. A total of 61 presenters attended the conference, including participants from South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, China, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Finland.
This conference provided a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas and collaborate with distinguished scholars and students from around the world. The insightful presentations and active discussions greatly enriched the quality of the conference, allowing for the sharing of diverse perspectives and new knowledge. Furthermore, the conference offered participants meaningful insights and networking opportunities that will be beneficial for their future research and collaborations.
